What is a Celtic Birthstone?

In the Lunar Tree Calendar of the Celts each lunar month was designated a corresponding tree which in turn affected the lives of those born under it’s influence.

Each tree has an associated Ogham letter and it is this Ogham letter which has been used to match these birthstones to an individual birth date.

Finally, each birthstone has its own cryptic horoscope, loosely based on the Song of Amargin who was among the most influential of the Druids who came to Ireland when the Milesians invaded from Spain about 1530 B.C.
